Dr. Nader Imani, Leiter für globale Bildungsprojekte bei Festo Didactic SE -  Global Industry Partner von WorldSkills und Mitglied von WorldSkills Germany, richtete im Anschluss motivierende Worte an das Publikum und vor allem die Teilnehmenden aus aller Welt. Vorstandsmitglied von WorldSkills International Laurence Gates dankte in ihrer Rede vor allem WorldSkills Germany für das Ausrichten von insgesamt 9 Weltmeisterschaften in Deutschland.

Nach dem Ablegen der WorldSkills-Eide für die Teilnehmenden und Bundestrainer*innen, wurde mit einem Countdown der Start offiziell eingeleitet. Romer freute sich: "Wo gibt es denn schon 9 Weltmeisterschaften beinahe zeitgleich? Drei davon ab jetzt in Stuttgart. Das ist WorldSkills! Und die Stimmung ist hervorragend. Alle sind bestens trainiert und motiviert. Freuen wir uns auf spannende Wettbewerbe in Deutschland und in der Welt."

Weitere Weltmeisterschaften werden in den nächsten Wochen in Nürnberg, Leonberg, Soest, Dresden und Lahr ausgetragen. Insgesamt werden Wettkämpfe in 61 Disziplinen in 15 Nationen weltweit veranstaltet.

Starting signal for the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition in Stuttgart

On the evening of October 3, 2022, around 250 competitors, trainers, delegation members and guests from more than 25 nations around the world gathered at Messe Stuttgart. They celebrated the launch of the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition (WSC2022SE) in Germany. Until October 7, 2022, 75 top professionals will compete for the WorldSkills titles in the skills of Mechatronics, Industry 4.0 and Water Technology (wastewater technology).

The 25 participating nations are looking forward to the start of the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition in Stuttgart in the skills Mechatronics, Industry 4.0 and Water Technology.

Hubert Romer, Managing Director and Official Delegate of WorldSkills Germany, hosted the evening and welcomed all participating nations individually on stage. President of WorldSkills Germany e.V. Michael Hafner also warmly welcomed all guests to WSC2022SE and pointed out the uniqueness of this World Championship in his speech. Dr. Nader Imani, Head of Global Education Projects at Festo Didactic SE - Global Industry Partner of WorldSkills and member of WorldSkills Germany, then addressed motivating words to the audience and especially to the competitors from all over the world. In her speech, WorldSkills International Board Member Laurence Gates thanked WorldSkills Germany in particular for hosting a total of 9 WorldSkills Championships in Germany.

After taking the WorldSkills oaths for the competitors and trainers, the start was officially initiated with a countdown. Romer was pleased: "Where else are there 9 world championships almost at the same time? Three of them from now on in Stuttgart. This is WorldSkills! And the atmosphere is excellent. Everyone is well trained and motivated. Let's look forward to exciting competitions in Germany and around the world."

Other world championships will be held in the coming weeks in Nuremberg, Leonberg, Soest, Dresden and Lahr. In total, competitions will be held in 61 disciplines in 15 nations around the world.
